Wes Okafor, Owner
I started this operation in 2016 after spending six years watching other contractors blow fiberglass over unsealed top plates and call it a day. I hold a BPI Building Analyst certification, which means I can run the blower-door test myself, interpret the results, and explain them without talking down to anyone. I still climb into attics on about a third of our jobs, usually the ones where a homeowner has been told they need full replacement and I suspect they don’t. My left knee clicks on every ladder rung above the eighth foot. I’ve learned to ignore it.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been with us since 2019 and runs the crew on every spray foam job we do in San Marcos, Kyle, and New Braunfels. He’s certified in both open-cell and closed-cell application through Icynene and Demilec, and he’s the person I trust to judge whether a rim joist in a crawl space needs full encapsulation or just a vapor barrier. He grew up in Seguin and still lives there with two dogs who have no respect for his work schedule. He keeps a photo on his phone of a rat’s nest he found inside a perfectly installed layer of batts, just to show homeowners why we seal before we insulate.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana specializes in blown-in cellulose and fiberglass, and she’s the fastest person I’ve ever seen with an attic ruler. She can eyeball an R-value gap from across a dark crawl space. She holds an Owens Corning Certified Energy Expert credential and trains our apprentices on proper density packing, which is what keeps blown insulation from settling into useless thin spots over your kitchen. She rides a motorcycle to work when the weather’s below 85 degrees, which in San Marcos means about four months a year. The rest of the time she drives a truck with 287,000 miles on it that she refuses to replace.
James L., Service Coordinator
James answers the phones, schedules the crews, and sends the text alerts when your technician is en route. He’s the person who makes sure your written scope, written price, and written warranty are in your inbox before anyone touches a tool. He came to us from a commercial HVAC dispatch office in Austin and immediately asked why residential contractors don’t document their jobs the same way. He was right, so we hired him. He has a spreadsheet ranking every breakfast taco in San Marcos and will defend his top three with concerning intensity.
Elena V., Apprentice
Elena joined us in 2024 after completing the construction technology program at Texas State. She’s working toward her BPI certification and currently shadows Dana on insulation removals and Marcus on air-sealing jobs. She’s already better at spotting disconnected baffles and blocked soffit vents than some installers I’ve met with a decade of experience. She lives in the Hopkins neighborhood and mentions the train noise on the UP line about twice a week. She’s learning to time her work around it.
